Work Towards Fairness is a pop-up Museum, Memorial and Installation. Three pavilions were built in Brooklyn, NY and installed in Cabanas de Viriato, Viseu, Portugal. Sited at the home of Aristides de Sousa Mendes, the diplomat who saved my family from the holocaust. The pavilions house an exhibition dedicated to the deeds of Sousa Mendes and contain 30,000 embossed signatures, representing the number of persons whom he saved during the holocaust by disobeying orders and signing visas. The project garnered international support to save the rapidly deteriorating home it is sited at. Subsequently, the home has been restored with funding from the European Union.
